 The UNSW Medsoc Bookshop is a non-profit organisation providing medical textbooks and equipment to students and health professionals at close to cost price & far cheaper than retail. It is managed by UNSW medical students but discount prices apply to all members. Everyone in the general public can become a member for a nominal membership fee of $15. The bookshop stocks all the titles on the recommended textbooks lists for all six years of the undergraduate medical program and also caters for the needs of postgraduate students, as well as a range of medical equipment from stethoscopes to lab coats. Any medical textbook can be ordered if it is not in stock.
You can now browse and purchase from our range of books and medical equipment online. The convenient search feature allows you to find any item, or you can browse through the shop by subject area. Any other book not in stock can be specially ordered, and we will endeavour to provide it to you at the cheapest price possible. Just email us or use the request form online. Membership Becoming a member of the UNSW Medical Society Bookshop entitles you to our Australia-wide cheapest prices. This saving is available to anyone, for a one-off fee of $15. You can browse our store online without logging in, but when you make an order you have the option of purchasing membership or paying retail prices. Where are we? The UNSW Medsoc Bookshop is located on the grounds of Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick, in the Old Morgue Building, on Barker Street. It is open on working days (except Thursday) throughout the year except public holidays. A map of how to reach the bookshop is attached.
